“soluble heart”

POETRY by:
IVANNA BARANOVA

soluble heart

you mouth impossible
against anything untoward
our highest good

tossing thought fields to trash
call them
ego rejects, to inspire

I kneel for the thought
then the asterisk

harmonic cartography, apple of my eye
cinching the throat of my quiet highway

sometimes the body just wants rest

levity as future, optimism
I have seen your soluble heart replete
