Jen Fisher’s work extends beyond the page and onto the streets of New York City where she is a sidewalk book seller at Vortexity books, on Avenue A in East Village. She is one of those New York writers, whose work refuses to be weighed down by insularity, but is made in communion with others: connecting the streets of New York through trade, conversation and community. As New York remains “on pause,” Jen has also been sent indoors, where she has been writing poetry. Her recent poems, introspective and longing, reflect the new-found silence of her city.Listen:
